When she couldn't find unique, special gifts to match her style and taste at big-box stores, Christen decided to take matters into her own hands - literally. In 2009, Christen started Love Elaine, a handmade shop that features unique aprons, totes, baby quilts and gifts in bright, modern fabrics. Christen is a self proclaimed "modern Martha" and spends her free time sewing, reading, baking and obsessing over the perfect gift for every occasion, all while working a full-time job in marketing. Fun fact about Christen: her fabric stash is worth more than her shoe collection, proving she doesn't do anything half-way.  

What's in a name?
 
Elaine is my middle name, and it also happens to be the middle name of all the women in my family - my mother Cherie, both of my Grandmothers and my sister, Stephanie. Love is my paternal Grandmother's maiden name. I am so blessed to have to many wonderful women in my family to support me - they are all creative, independent and strong! My Mom and Grandma taught me to sew at a young age and encouraged me to start a business. They are my biggest support system, without whom, Love Elaine wouldn't exist!
